Hi everybody, so the other day I was doing some work with the Google Maps API and the idea came to me for an interactive map of the Penobscot. So after cobbling together a fair amount of JavaScript and some images and videos the rapids I have created an "interactive" map of the race course. This is very much a work in process and if you have photos, videos, or descriptions of any of any of the locations please send them to me (i'll list your name below anything you submit on the website). If you have any corrections or other suggestions feel free to let me know. It takes a little while to load (I'm working on the speed right now) and is best viewed on a computer (I'll get around to making it more mobile friendly in a bit). race-map.paddlesoft.net if this link doesn't work try isaac26.com/new2.html

This is awesome, Isaac! Let's get it on the nationals website. Just updated the map. Added: - Mobile Support. Now browse the the map on your favorite mobile device. Tested on iPhone 5/6 (but no reason it shouldn't work on Android too).
- Additional videos of the major rapids. (Thanks to the Dropbox link from Eric Gallandt)
- New markers for access points to the major rapids, start of the wildwater race, finish of the sprints, and possible viewing locations.
I'm still looking for videos/photos of the French Island Rapid, Great Works Center Lines, Great Works Right Lines, Basin Left Lines and Veazie. So if you have any and want to share them send them to igodfried@isaac26.com. If you get the chance please visit PaddleSoft at paddlesoft.net as well. See you on the water.
