This is not strictly racing, but I think many river fans will enjoy this 5 minute video from the Penobscot River Restoration Trust. Bucky Owen tells the story of the restoration project and the motivations behind it. Lots of great river scenery and familiar faces.

Note that soon, we'll be able to paddle from Old Town to the sea without a portage, running some rapids that have been flooded for 150 years. (Wouldn't an Old Town to Bangor whitewater race be cool?) Just watch out for sturgeon!
