What: Group Paddle for Training and Technique When: Tuesday Evenings, 5:30pm, beginning Tuesday June 5th and continuing all summer. Where: Old Town boat launch near the Elks Club and just upstream from the bridge to Indian Island.
Come join in with other paddlers to work together to improve your boat handling, boat speed, technique, and pack skills. We'll have several options for routes to paddle each Tuesday, but the standard may become paddling the loop around Orson Island. This is open to all, novice and experienced paddlers alike. The group may divide into smaller groups of recreational and racing boats if appropriate, but the overall goal is for paddlers to be able to train together. Come join the fun!
This is separate from, and excellent preparation for, the Thursday evening events of the MaCKRO FW Series. Get both on your weekly calendars and see just how many times you can paddle on weeknights throughout the summer.

Another opportunity to train is on Monday nights in Waterville. This from John Alsop: A group will meet to paddle on the Messalonskee Stream in Waterville at 5:30 Monday nights. The stream access is on North St across from Maine General Hospital’s Thayer campus. Everyone is invited!
