Anyone taken a look at the Kenduskeag in the last day or so?
I'm wondering if the level has dropped from where it was last Thursday or Friday.
I'm planning to paddle the stretch from Six-Mile Falls to Bangor on Wednesday afternoon -- maybe on Thursday too. Anyone who wants to join up, share rides, etc., let me know.

The Kenduskeag is now ice free from the headwaters to tidewater The level seems to be holding pretty steady despite the fact there has been no significant rainfall I would call it a medium high level...... no where near what we had a year ago I expect the stream will drop a bit each day this week unless we do get rain; but the level will be quite satisfactory for the race.
I will post again around midweek.

Ran the Kenduskeag south of Six-Mile Falls today with Jeff Sands. The river is now at a medium level and, according to Jeff, has dropped about 6 inches since yesterday. It's a good level now (photos below) -- and hopefully the level will not drop much in the next couple of days. I managed to take a swim in the Shopping Cart hole. After not swimming any rivers for 3 or 4 years, this seems to be a swimming year for me. I have now "swum" the St. George, swum the Kenduskeag, and even took a swim in the Goose River (going through a culvert -- does that count? ;D). Well, I'm not planning to swim on race day.
