MaCKRO will host an 'open house' hospitality meeting open to all members and the general public on 4/19 the day of the Kenduskeag Str Canoe Race. The meeting will be at the SeaDog Restaurant from approx 1-2:30pm. Cash bar, free snacks, presentations and speeches from MaCKRO leaders and other interesting people, music, videos and more. Help us introduce ourselves the the paddling public, while waiting for the awards ceremony. Plan to attend and bring a new paddler. New members can join for $5!!!! Members new and old will qualify for spectacular door prizes!

Sounds good Clayton. I'll do what I can to get the word out. By the way, I know some college students who are thinking of doing the Kenduskeag. Do you happen to know if they have to be members of Mackro to register for the College Class? It seems this was a requirement when the College Class was new a couple of years back, but I wasn't sure if Mackro membership is still required.

Mike The only stipulation for MaCKRO membership that I am aware of is to participate in the MaCKRO Downriver Point Series
I don't know have any race directors who care if your affiliated with MACKRO -
Affiliation with a paddle and boat is required!

Thanks for the note Clayton. I will make the case to the students I know that membership is encouraged. $5! You can't beat that.
