I noticed on St. George race results that there were some different classes. Can someone explain what the difference is in OC2. Med. Racing and OC2RM ? What is OC2 WW?

OC2RM or OC2 Rec Med means a medium length (16'7" to 18'6") two person "recreational" canoe. A recreational canoe can't be too narrow (it must be at least 16% as wide as it is long) and it can't be too light (I forget the formula, but in practice any plastic boat is OK and any kevlar boat is too light).
OC2 Med Racing is a "racing" boat of the same length. It can be as light as it wants, and more narrow (the minimum width/length ratio is 14.375%).
The "WW" is a "Weekend Warrior" class, which means beginner/casual paddler. Note that if there's only one "W", as in KW or OC2W, that means "woman/women".
The Waldo Y races (St Geo and Passy) have a lot of classes. Perhaps the classiest class is Clydesdale, which is two paddlers over 425lbs.

I understand now. RM and Rec Med were same class. Using 2 different abbreviations confused me. My mistake .
