Hey Eric--Several of us have begun heading in this direction in a small way, and I think it is a direction MaCKRO would like to go. That said, the organization can't afford to purchase new boats outright unless the price is ridiculously low (like less than $500 each). MaCKRO members, I'm sure, would volunteer to run a camp. But someone would need to recruit sponsors to fund the purchase of the boats and paddles.
We've got youth and teenagers willing and able to take up Sprint racing. The limitation is $$. If you were to find out exactly how generous Epic is willing to be, then get some sponsors to cover the cost of a small number of boats, we'll host camps starting next summer. Come to our annual meeting in October with a proposal!
And since Epic doesn't build sprint canoes, we'd need another company who does to participate, too (ideally).

Parents need to ante up for the kids racing boats. That`s what I do all the time . A few individuals , or maybe even one individual with some nice gear will inspire others to do the same .
