Just looking for the Scouting run info on the six miles down on Friday. I take it the water level is low this year but not crazy low?
I pray for rain/snow next week:)

I'll be paddling from 6 Mile Falls to Shopping Cart with some of my GoActive! high school paddlers and some of their parents. Others are welcome to tag along.

Just spent a couple hours at 6 Mile Falls. The upper half of the falls is already really bony. You can get a boat through but it's not pretty. The Jaws at the bottom is also runnable, but we hit pretty hard each run. Do your rain dances!!

We ran 6-mile falls today as well. We were able to get through cleanly (in kayaks) by going far left of the island and then swinging far right (into the hairpin turn on the right) and then taking the drop in the center. Didn't hit any rocks on the drop through the jaws. But that may be due to having a shorter boat.
My impression of the stream from 6-mile falls down is that there is enough water but none too much. If you don't know the routes in advance, you are likely to find yourself scraping over ledges and rocks more than once or twice.
Shopping Cart and pre-Shopping Cart were fun. Plenty of water there!
